Meet the team

David Tait, Director

With over twenty years senior management experience working in the Asia Pacific region and Middle East, David is experienced in developing marketing strategies and implementing business development initiatives in a range of sectors. A biological science graduate with diverse interests in science, the arts, publishing and media; he has an MBA from the University of Leicester and has published over 500 titles in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Arabic. Earlier in his life he had lots of fun in the Royal Navy submarine service prior to taking up the power of the pen.

Tessa Bull, IT Director

Tessa arrived in Hong Kong in 1988, starting her career with Cathay Pacific Airways. Following many happy years with the airline, she transferred her skills into various and diverse sectors; becoming a HK Government translator, where she worked with law enforcement agencies and the Judiciary; an office manager for a health clinic; and finally a move into the education sector, where she has worked for the last 12 years at a leading International School – the last eight of which have been solely in the ICT field. Tessa’s role at TrackArt as the IT Director sees her responsible for website content administration and updates, as well as management of the company’s CRM system. Tessa holds a Diploma in Graphic Design and is also responsible for producing high-quality flyers and advertisements for use in both local and overseas publications.

Colum Stewart, Chief Operating Officer

Colum joins TrackArt with a background in risk management and security gained in Asia over the last 20 years. A graduate of King’s College London, he has worked in various roles with and for the world’s largest commercial fire and security companies including Chubb, Kidde, Tyco, Securitas and G4S. His experience in safety and security especially with high value logistics is of particular relevance for TrackArt’s customers both corporate and high net worth individuals. For the past 15 years Colum has been based in Hong Kong working with local, regional and mainland based clients. Colum has a wealth of experience in risk assessment, process control and audit for safety and security; key skills that are relevant to TrackArt's customers for whom security is a critically important consideration.

Michelle Teasel, Art and Private Client Specialist

Michelle is a graduate of the University of Oxford, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Insurance and a Director of Examinations at the Insurance Institute of Hong Kong. On graduating in 1993, she joined Hiscox, a niche insurer specialising in Art and Private Client Insurance and remained with the company for 20 years, quickly rising through the ranks. At the age of 26 she was head of the company’s French subsidiary and in her final role she oversaw the High Value Household insurance written across 15 European offices. Michelle brings to TrackArt a vast experience of protecting the valuable assets of wealthy individuals and royalty around the world.

Paul Tehan, Director of Art

Over the last 25 years, Paul has guided numerous art lovers in the building and management of their treasured collections. He is a graduate of the University of Melbourne in fine arts and museum management. Paul has institutional experience at some of Australia’s top art museums including the National Gallery of Victoria and the Ian Potter Museum of Art at the University of Melbourne as well as at the auction houses Sotheby’s and Deutscher-Menzies. Paul has worked as an independent art consultant in Asia based in Hong Kong for 10 years. When advising clients Paul undertakes thorough art historical research into individual artworks, financial perspectives and art market strategies to help purchasing decisions and managing existing collections. Paul brings this art management expertise to assist TrackArt's clients in developing a collection strategy to achieve both investment and aesthetic goals.

Jo Allum, Forensic Consultant

A highly experienced senior manager, Jo Allum is a first class honours science graduate who spent eight years as a forensic scientist in the UK involved in the investigation of fires and explosions before moving with her family to Hong Kong twelve years ago. She is an expert witness in both civil and criminal cases and legal aid expert for forensic investigations. With TrackArt now offering synthetic DNA security coding services to the art market, Jo's background and expertise in the forensic science field provides an invaluable and unique insight into this high-tech and bespoke service. Jo additionally has a CPE/GDEHKL in English and Hong Kong law.

Tamae Rykers, Director, Business Development

Having previously worked in finance and business advisory in Tokyo, Luxembourg and London in senior management roles, Tamae turned to her long-standing interest in art and design and received her MA degree in fine and decorative art from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London. Tamae has coordinated and presented at various art and design events and has performed a number of due diligence research investigations while extending her expertise in art risk management and research on the orientalism in European decorative art. Tamae brings to TrackArt her extensive art historical knowledge, as well as her considerable skill sets in successful project management and client services.
